This is an illustrated poster of the 1994 Australian comedy-drama film "Muriel's Wedding", written and directed by P.J. Hogan. It was created as part of an illustration project at City College of New York. The movie follows the story of Muriel Heslop, a socially awkward woman who has never been on a date due to her oppressive politician father. She is ostracized by her more socially adept friends but finds a friend in Rhonda Epinstalk. Together, they leave their small Australian town and move to the big city of Sydney. Muriel changes her name and begins the challenging task of redesigning her life to match her fantasies. The illustration on the poster depicts the moment when Muriel awkwardly grabs her husband and takes him down the aisle.
